Kapitulation visualises the complete submission of the organic to a state of technological paralysis. As the body yields to the machine, it is stripped of autonomy, reduced to an organ within the authoritarian framework of the automaton. The body  becomes a mechanized extension of a larger, controlling force, its agency erased in favor of function.
